PATTISON Outdoor Advertising Elevates Voices with $1 Million Grant to Promote DEI

PATTISON Outdoor Advertising continues to demonstrate its commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through the Elevating Voices Media Grant. For the third consecutive year, the company is awarding up to $1 million in Out-of-Home (OOH) media space to charitable and non-profit organizations across Canada. This initiative provides a platform for organizations focused on supporting underserved communities and promoting DEI efforts.

  • Elevating Voices Grant: The grant program, launched in 2022, offers media space to organizations dedicated to supporting ethno-cultural groups, the 2SLGBTQI+ community, women’s equality, people with disabilities, and other groups promoting diversity.
  • Record Number of Applicants: This year, PATTISON saw an overwhelming response with a diverse range of causes and groups applying for the grant, showcasing the program’s broad reach and importance.
  • Grant Selection Process: Applications were reviewed by PATTISON’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and the nine selected organizations were chosen based on specific criteria.
  • National and Regional Partners: Nine organizations received funding, including three national partners and six regional partners, each working toward equity and inclusion in their communities.

National Partners

  1. Black North Initiative (BNI): Focused on closing gaps created by systemic anti-Black racism, BNI empowers Black Canadians and promotes corporate diversity.
  2. Blk Women In Excellence Society (BWIE): Supports Black women and female youth through mentorship, economic growth, and opportunities.
  3. Canadians for Leading Edge Alzheimer Research (CLEAR): Accelerates dementia research in Canada and raises awareness for Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Regional Partners

  1. SafeLink Alberta Society: Provides harm reduction programs for marginalized communities in Calgary and southern Alberta.
  2. UNITI Semiahmoo House Society: Ensures meaningful and inclusive lives for people with disabilities.
  3. Foodpreneur Lab: A nonprofit supporting Black, racialized, and women food entrepreneurs.
  4. Centre Francophone du Grand Toronto (CFGT): Meets the needs of Francophones in Toronto, offering services in French.
  5. Accessible Housing Society: Provides accessible homes for people with mobility limitations.
  6. Unity Charity: Uses Hip Hop to promote mental health and well-being for youth in underserved communities across Canada.
  • OOH Media Space: Through this program, these organizations will benefit from increased visibility and outreach via PATTISON’s vast OOH advertising network.
