AI Startup Cuttable Launches in U.S., Promises 3 Billion Free Ads for Ecommerce Brands

Australian startup Cuttable is taking a bold swing at the U.S. ecommerce market. The AI-powered ad creation platform has officially launched stateside, offering every online store in America a staggering 1,000 free ads each—totaling over 3.1 billion ads—for Meta’s Facebook and Instagram platforms.

The company’s pitch is simple: turn the ad creation process from a time sink into a few-click automation. By connecting directly to a Shopify or ecommerce store, Cuttable’s AI studies a brand’s products, imagery, and tone, then auto-generates ready-to-run image and video ads that plug directly into Meta Ads Manager. What used to take weeks and thousands in production costs now happens in minutes.

“Advertising shouldn’t be a luxury,” said Sam Kroonenburg, Cuttable’s co-founder. “Most ecommerce businesses spend more time making ads than selling products. Cuttable fixes that—it turns brand assets into hundreds of tested, high-performing ads automatically.”

From Cloud to Creative: A Proven Founder Returns

Kroonenburg is no stranger to scaling global tech companies. His previous venture, A Cloud Guru, sold to Pluralsight for $2 billion in 2021. With co-founders Jack White and Ed Ring, he’s now turning his sights to democratizing digital advertising—helping small ecommerce teams achieve the kind of marketing velocity once reserved for major brands.

Cuttable’s AI platform blends creative strategy from top ad agencies with data-driven automation. Following Meta’s best practices, it identifies ad variants most likely to convert, testing and optimizing them in bulk. The result? Enterprise-grade ad performance for brands that can’t afford enterprise budgets.

Brands Already Onboard

Early adopters like TileCloud, Salt Lab, Standard Procedure, Love in Faith, and Frank Body are already using Cuttable to accelerate ad production.

For Eidin Khial, founder of Los Angeles fashion label Ananke and former VP of Men’s at Fashion Nova, Cuttable has been transformative:

“As a founder managing design, logistics, and shipping, creating ads was almost impossible,” Khial said. “Cuttable synced with our Shopify store and made 20 ads in 15 minutes that looked amazing. Even our Meta rep said they ‘checked all the boxes’ for winning creative. It’s a lifesaver.”

A Guerrilla Launch and U.S. Expansion Plans

To mark its U.S. debut, Cuttable launched an attention-grabbing guerrilla campaign across Los Angeles—complete with billboard trucks and celebrity mailbox drops teasing the message: “Your Ads Are Ready.”

The startup recently closed a $6.5 million seed round led by Square Peg, with participation from Rampersand and Brand Fund (backers of Tracksuit and Ideally). Its U.S. headquarters will open in Austin, Texas, in early 2026, with a Series A funding round already on the horizon to fuel expansion.

Leveling the AdTech Playing Field

Cuttable’s entry into the U.S. underscores a broader AdTech shift: automation is becoming the new creative muscle. With AI tools increasingly handling ideation, production, and testing, smaller ecommerce teams can now compete with the scale and precision of enterprise advertisers.

And with its free-ad giveaway, Cuttable isn’t just courting attention—it’s positioning itself as a creative equalizer for the world’s most competitive digital marketplace.
