Adams Outdoor Advertising is on a growth streak—again. The company announced the acquisition of additional assets from Toby Outdoor, further cementing its foothold in the Triad, North Carolina market. The deal adds nine billboard faces, including one premium digital display in Wilkesboro and two digital sites in Galax, Virginia, marking another leap forward in Adams’ digital transformation strategy.
With this latest move, Adams now operates 34 digital faces across the Triad—a figure that’s doubled in just one year. The acquisition follows the company’s recent Sign Shoppe and Scotty Outdoor purchases, expanding its coverage from western North Carolina and the Charlotte metro all the way to the North Carolina coastline.
A Strategy Built on Scale and Smart Reach
For Adams Outdoor, this acquisition isn’t just about adding billboards—it’s about broadening audience access and giving brands more dynamic ways to connect with fast-growing communities.
“This acquisition represents more than just growth — it’s a reflection of our ongoing commitment to invest in the markets we serve and to elevate the power of outdoor advertising,” said Kevin Jones, CEO of Adams Outdoor Advertising. “The Carolinas are on fire — with more and more people moving here every day. Businesses need smart, scalable ways to reach new residents and consumers. We have the out-of-home solutions to help brands speak directly to these growing communities, and we’re excited to lead that charge.”
The Bigger Picture
Outdoor advertising is enjoying a resurgence as brands look for tangible, location-based visibility in an increasingly fragmented digital world. Adams Outdoor’s latest expansion strengthens its regional network of premium digital assets, offering advertisers both flexibility and high-impact visibility across a rapidly growing market.
By integrating Toby Outdoor’s assets into its broader operations, Adams aims to deliver a more connected, data-driven OOH experience—a key advantage as advertisers demand greater accountability and precision in traditional media channels.
The transaction was facilitated by Chris Hannum, ESQ., of Culp, Elliott and Carpenter, PLLC, representing the seller.
Why It Matters
As North Carolina continues to attract new residents and businesses, demand for localized, scalable advertising channels is surging. With this acquisition, Adams Outdoor positions itself as one of the region’s most comprehensive out-of-home networks—offering both traditional reach and digital agility.
