Ali Mirian Joins OpenWeb to Lead Product Innovation for Publisher Communities

OpenWeb, the platform helping publishers build engaged, healthy online communities, has appointed Ali Mirian as Senior Vice President of Product. With over 20 years in digital advertising, ad tech, and product leadership, Mirian is set to spearhead OpenWeb’s next wave of innovation as the company prepares a series of new tools designed to enhance engagement, monetization, and social interaction.

“Publishers are at an inflection point where success is no longer just traffic, but engagement and loyalty,” said Mirian. “OpenWeb’s mission to create a healthier, open internet resonates deeply with me. I’m excited to help build products that empower publishers to create flourishing communities.”

Mirian brings a strong track record of scaling product organizations. At Inmar Intelligence, he led loyalty and retail media platforms for major national retailers. Earlier, as Chief Product Officer at Collective Bias, he tripled the platform’s network to 40,000 influencers before its acquisition by Inmar. His career also includes senior product roles at IAC (overseeing Ticketmaster, Match.com, The Daily Beast, and more) and 24/7 Real Media, where he helped build what became the second-largest ad server behind Google DoubleClick.

A recognized advocate for technology for social good, Mirian also founded Chiefgood.org, a nonprofit connecting creative professionals with charities to deliver impactful campaigns across premium ad inventory.

In his new role, Mirian will oversee the vision, roadmap, and execution of OpenWeb’s expanding product suite, with multiple new features slated for release over the next six to twelve months. The goal: create a product “flywheel” where meaningful conversations drive audience loyalty, which in turn boosts advertiser value, cementing OpenWeb as the go-to platform for publishers seeking engagement beyond walled gardens.
