OUTFRONT Media (NYSE: OUT) has appointed Nick Brien as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, after serving as Interim CEO since February 2025. Brien will continue as a Board member, bringing over four decades of experience across advertising, media, and digital marketing.
The company also strengthened its governance by adding Michael Barrett, CEO of Magnite, and Nicolle Pangis, VP of Netflix Advertising North America, to its Board. These strategic additions aim to guide OUTFRONT’s digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
A Proven Leader at the Helm
Michael Dominguez, Chairman of the Board, praised Brien’s leadership: “Nick has brought focus and momentum to OUTFRONT. With his industry knowledge and proven track record, he’s the right leader to accelerate the company’s growth and transformation.”
Brien’s career spans leadership roles at Dentsu, McCann, IPG Mediabrands, and Amobee, where he bridged TV and digital adtech solutions. He has collaborated with top brands like Microsoft, Intel, General Motors, and P&G, making him a recognized pioneer of integrated, full-funnel marketing across creative, media, technology, and data.
“I’m honored to lead OUTFRONT Media into its next chapter,” Brien said. “In an ad landscape dominated by online video, real-world interactions remain essential for building consumer trust and engagement. Guided by this vision, OUTFRONT is modernizing operations and investing in technology to unlock growth and shareholder value.”
Board Expansion Fuels Digital Expertise
The addition of Pangis and Barrett brings expertise across both the demand and supply sides of media. Pangis leads Netflix Advertising in North America and has deep experience in programmatic and data-driven media. Barrett, CEO of Magnite, runs the largest independent sell-side advertising platform in CTV, video, and display, with deep knowledge of marketplace scaling and data integration.
Together, they will advise on integrating out-of-home (OOH) inventory into centralized agency planning, optimizing sales processes, and accelerating digitization. Their guidance is expected to strengthen agency partnerships, client engagement, and data-driven strategies for long-term growth.
Organizational Moves Support Transformation
Brien has also spearheaded executive hires and organizational restructuring, including:
- Jim Norton as Chief Revenue Officer, Enterprise
- Mark Bonanni as Chief Revenue Officer, Commercial
- Brad Alperin as Head of Brand Solutions
These moves establish two distinct sales organizations, sharpen focus for advertisers, and elevate creative and integrated offerings, aligning leadership talent with the company’s digital transformation goals.
