Bombora Wins MarTech Award for B2B AI-Powered Campaign Measurement

Bombora has been named “Marketing Insights Platform of the Year” in the 2026 MarTech Breakthrough Awards, recognizing its B2beacon™ platform for addressing a persistent problem in B2B advertising: connecting campaign activity to accounts and buying groups rather than relying primarily on individual-level engagement metrics.

B2B marketers have a measurement problem that consumer advertising technology was never designed to solve. Buying decisions often involve multiple stakeholders, lengthy sales cycles and several digital channels, yet campaign reporting frequently still revolves around clicks, impressions and other user-level signals.

Bombora is taking a different approach with B2beacon, an account-level campaign measurement platform that has now been recognized as the “Marketing Insights Platform of the Year” by MarTech Breakthrough.

The award followed a review of more than 4,300 nominations from marketing, advertising and sales technology companies worldwide, according to Bombora. The recognition puts greater attention on an increasingly important part of the B2B technology stack: connecting media exposure with the accounts and buying groups that marketers ultimately want to influence.

B2beacon is designed to measure campaign reach and engagement at the account and buying-group level. That includes signals such as clicks and video views, but the platform’s primary distinction is how those interactions are attributed to business entities rather than treated solely as isolated individual events.

That shift matters as B2B advertising becomes more dependent on account-based marketing (ABM) strategies. A campaign may reach several employees at the same company before that organization becomes an identifiable sales opportunity. Measuring each interaction independently can make it difficult for marketing and revenue teams to understand whether media activity is actually penetrating target accounts.

Bombora says B2beacon addresses this issue through log-level integrations with demand-side and supply-side platforms, rather than relying on traditional tracking pixels. The company claims the approach delivers an impression match rate above 90%, potentially providing marketers with a more consistent view of media delivery across advertising environments.

The platform currently supports integrations across DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP and OpenX. Bombora estimates that the connected platforms represent approximately 75% of B2B programmatic media investment.

For enterprise marketing teams, the technology points toward a broader evolution in campaign analytics. Instead of asking whether an advertisement generated an individual click, marketers increasingly need to understand whether campaigns are reaching the right organizations, engaging multiple members of a buying committee and contributing to pipeline development.

That makes B2beacon relevant to the convergence of AI, AdTech, data infrastructure and enterprise marketing analytics. While artificial intelligence is increasingly being applied to campaign optimization and predictive audience modeling, the usefulness of those systems depends heavily on the quality and granularity of the underlying measurement data.

The competitive landscape is crowded. Platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Amazon Ads, The Trade Desk, Adobe, Salesforce and specialist ABM vendors provide different combinations of media activation, identity resolution, attribution and customer intelligence. Most enterprise marketing stacks, however, still require data to be reconciled across multiple platforms before teams can establish a unified account-level picture.

Bombora’s positioning is narrower: provide cross-platform B2B campaign measurement without requiring marketers to install additional tags or adopt another advertising platform. B2beacon can reportedly be activated on a campaign-by-campaign basis within existing workflows, which could lower the technical barrier for teams that do not want to rebuild their measurement architecture.

The implications extend beyond marketing reporting. Account-level measurement can help connect advertising teams with sales, revenue operations and customer data teams, particularly when organizations are trying to determine whether paid media is influencing target accounts before an opportunity becomes visible in the CRM.

This is also where the technology intersects with AI. AI-powered marketing systems need reliable signals to determine which audiences are responding, where engagement is developing and which accounts warrant additional investment. Better account-level measurement can provide the data layer needed for those models to make more relevant decisions.

The larger industry shift is therefore not simply from one analytics tool to another. It is from campaign-centric measurement toward business-outcome measurement.

As B2B organizations increasingly deploy AI for audience selection, campaign optimization and revenue forecasting, the quality of measurement infrastructure becomes a strategic issue. A model can optimize a campaign effectively only if marketers can reliably establish what happened, where it happened and which business entities were affected.

Bombora’s award recognizes one response to that challenge. Whether account-level measurement becomes a standard layer across B2B advertising stacks will depend on interoperability, identity resolution, privacy requirements and the ability to connect media signals with downstream revenue outcomes.

For enterprise marketing organizations, however, the direction is increasingly clear: clicks and impressions remain useful, but they are no longer enough to explain how complex B2B buying journeys actually unfold.

Market Landscape

B2B advertising is moving toward account-level measurement, buying-group intelligence and outcome-based attribution as marketers seek stronger connections between media activity and pipeline. Platforms from Google, Amazon, Adobe, Salesforce and The Trade Desk are competing across increasingly interconnected marketing data ecosystems. At the same time, AI-driven campaign optimization is increasing demand for higher-quality identity, attribution and engagement data. Bombora’s B2beacon illustrates how specialized measurement infrastructure can complement broader enterprise advertising and CRM stacks without replacing them.
