KNOREX is adding conversational AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectivity to its advertising management platform, aiming to let marketers move from dashboard-driven campaign operations toward natural-language control of cross-channel programmatic buying.

The company said KAI Assist will roll out within KNOREX XPO by the end of September 2026. A separate KNOREX XPO MCP Server is planned for October, allowing enterprise customers and agencies to connect external AI models, including Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI models, to advertising infrastructure.

The developments reflect a broader shift in advertising technology toward agentic workflows, where AI systems can interpret marketer intent and translate it into actions across campaign management environments.

From Dashboard Operations to Natural-Language Execution

KAI Assist is designed as a conversational interface embedded inside XPO. Instead of navigating multiple configuration screens, users can issue plain-language instructions to create campaigns, modify parameters, adjust targeting and optimize active media buys.

That distinction matters because programmatic advertising has become operationally complex. Campaigns can span multiple channels, audiences, creative formats and buying environments, creating substantial manual work for media teams.

Natural-language interfaces could reduce some of that friction, particularly for repetitive campaign-management tasks. However, the effectiveness of such systems will depend on how accurately AI interprets intent, applies campaign constraints and handles ambiguous instructions.

The technology also raises a familiar question for programmatic advertising: how much execution authority should marketers give AI systems? Automated changes to targeting, budgets or bids can have immediate financial consequences, making permissions, auditability and human oversight important enterprise requirements.

MCP Extends AI Beyond the Advertising Platform

The planned XPO MCP Server takes a different approach. Rather than limiting AI interaction to KNOREX’s own interface, it is intended to allow compatible external AI assistants to interact with XPO’s campaign environment.

MCP provides a standardized way for AI applications to access external tools and contextual information. In an advertising setting, that could allow an AI assistant to retrieve campaign performance information, analyze cross-channel results and potentially initiate approved campaign changes.

For agencies and large marketing organizations, this architecture could be significant because many already use multiple AI tools alongside their advertising platforms. Connecting those models directly to execution infrastructure could reduce the gap between strategic analysis and media activation.

Market Landscape

KNOREX is entering a rapidly developing segment of AdTech in which DSPs, campaign-management platforms and marketing clouds are adding AI copilots and autonomous capabilities.

The competitive advantage may increasingly move beyond the underlying media-buying engine toward the interface between marketers and execution systems. Platforms that allow users to express business objectives rather than technical configurations could make sophisticated programmatic capabilities accessible to broader teams.

At the same time, AI-native execution introduces governance concerns. Enterprise buyers will need granular permissions, reliable data access, transparent decision logs and safeguards against unintended campaign modifications.

KAI Assist and the MCP Server position KNOREX around the emerging convergence of agentic AI and programmatic execution.

The September and October rollouts will provide an opportunity to demonstrate whether conversational interaction can materially reduce campaign setup and optimization workloads without compromising control.
