LG CNS Brings Agentic AI Ad Optimization to Amazon Sellers

LG CNS Targets Amazon Ads With Agentic AI LG CNS Targets Amazon Ads With Agentic AI

LG CNS is expanding its push into the U.S. commerce advertising market with LG Optapex, an Amazon-focused ad optimization platform that combines agentic AI with mathematical optimization to automate campaign decisions.

The Korean technology company showcased the solution at ASD Market Week in Las Vegas from August 25–27, positioning Amazon sellers as a key growth market for its advertising technology business. LG CNS said Optapex, launched in North America in the first half of 2025, is now used by about 190 companies across the U.S., South Korea, China and other markets.

The move comes as commerce advertising becomes a larger revenue stream for Amazon and a more sophisticated operating environment for sellers. Amazon reported $68.6 billion in advertising-services revenue in 2025, up from $56.2 billion in 2024, covering sponsored ads, display and video advertising.

How LG Optapex Works

Rather than functioning only as a recommendation layer, Optapex is designed to automate parts of the campaign operating cycle.

Its AI analyzes product sales history, click-through and conversion rates, inventory conditions and purchasing patterns. Mathematical optimization then evaluates potential combinations of bids, budgets and timing to determine an advertising strategy against objectives such as revenue or return on ad spend.

During execution, the system can adjust budgets and monitor keywords in response to campaign performance. It also analyzes significant performance changes and can generate explanations or recommend corrective actions.

That distinction matters in the increasingly crowded Amazon advertising technology market. Amazon’s own advertising stack remains the primary infrastructure for sellers, while third-party platforms compete by offering automation, analytics and optimization layers around campaign management. Amazon’s Seller Central Appstore lists Optapex as an advertising application with bid optimization, budget optimization, budget pacing and always-on optimization capabilities.

Market Landscape

The shift toward autonomous advertising operations reflects a broader move from dashboard-based optimization toward software that can make and execute media decisions.

For enterprise sellers managing hundreds or thousands of products, manual bid adjustments and budget allocation can become difficult to scale. Commerce advertising also introduces variables that conventional media optimization may not fully capture, including product availability, sales velocity, margins and marketplace demand.

LG CNS’s approach is therefore closer to commerce-media decision automation than conventional campaign reporting. Its AWS Marketplace listing describes a data pipeline designed to pull information from multiple Amazon APIs, while LG CNS has previously described integrating advertising and product data for Optapex.

LG CNS cites individual customer examples rather than independently audited results. The company said one U.S. gaming-gear seller improved ROAS by about 40%, while a UK beauty seller achieved 129% ROAS and an eightfold increase in ad-attributed revenue. Those figures should be treated as vendor-reported case-study results rather than broader market benchmarks.

Strategic Outlook

The competitive question for AI-powered advertising platforms is moving beyond whether algorithms can identify optimization opportunities. The differentiator increasingly becomes whether they can safely execute those decisions across complex product portfolios while accounting for business constraints.

For Amazon sellers, that could mean less manual campaign management and faster budget allocation. For advertising technology vendors, it raises the bar around explainability, data access, control mechanisms and measurable incremental performance.

LG CNS’s U.S. expansion also signals that commerce advertising is becoming a strategic entry point for enterprise AI vendors. Its continued presence at Amazon advertising events, combined with its growing Optapex customer base, suggests the company sees marketplace advertising as a software category rather than simply an adjacent marketing service.

Top Insights

  1. Agentic execution: Optapex is designed to move beyond recommendations into automated campaign operations.
  2. Product-level optimization: Advertising decisions incorporate product, inventory and sales signals alongside media metrics.
  3. Amazon specialization: The platform is focused specifically on Amazon marketplace advertising rather than general-purpose programmatic media.
  4. U.S. expansion: LG CNS is using Amazon sellers as a target market for its broader global software expansion.
  5. Measurement caveat: Reported ROAS and revenue improvements are LG CNS customer examples and are not independently verified industry benchmarks.
