Ingenee.ai is taking aim at one of streaming media‘s less visible bottlenecks: the manual work required to organize, schedule, publish and monetize growing content libraries. Ahead of IBC2026 in Amsterdam, the company is unveiling a media operations platform that uses agentic AI to automate workflows across FAST channels, VOD services, content libraries and distribution, while working alongside existing media technology stacks.
The streaming industry’s technology stack has become increasingly sophisticated, but many of the tasks required to operate that stack remain surprisingly manual.
Programming a FAST channel, refreshing VOD rows, managing metadata, checking rights, preparing exports, localizing content and coordinating distribution can involve spreadsheets, disconnected systems and repeated human intervention.
Ingenee.ai is betting that agentic AI can take over more of that operational workload.
Ahead of IBC2026 in Amsterdam, the company is unveiling what it describes as a super-automated media operations platform for broadcasters, streaming services, connected TV (CTV) companies, FAST operators, studios and content distributors.
Rather than replacing a media company’s existing CMS, media asset management or playout infrastructure, Ingenee is positioning its platform as an intelligence and automation layer on top of those systems.
That distinction could be important as media companies add channels and distribution outlets without wanting to rebuild their underlying technology stacks.
FAST growth is increasing the operational burden
The timing reflects a broader shift in the television market.
FAST platforms have expanded the number of channels and programming options available to viewers, creating more opportunities for advertising-supported distribution. At the same time, streaming services are managing increasingly large libraries across VOD, AVOD, SVOD and hybrid business models.
Nielsen reported in August that FAST sports channels grew 13.8% year over year, while unique sports program titles increased 31.2% and individual games and events distributed through FAST rose 37.5%.
For operators, more content does not simply mean more inventory. It means more operational decisions.
Which titles should appear on a VOD homepage? When should a FAST channel schedule a particular program? Which promotional rail should be refreshed? Which territories have rights available? What metadata needs localization? Which distribution partner should receive a particular package?
Those decisions become increasingly difficult to manage manually as catalogs and channel footprints expand.
Ingenee automates the programming layer

That makes Ingenee less of a conventional media management replacement and more of an AI orchestration layer.
The same concept extends to VOD.
VOD merchandising becomes an automated process
For streaming platforms, content discovery is increasingly a merchandising problem.
A library may contain thousands or even hundreds of thousands of titles, but viewers only encounter a fraction of them through a platform’s homepage and recommendation surfaces.
Ingenee’s VOD technology is designed to automatically create and refresh content rails around genres, themes, new releases, promotions, seasons, franchises and other programming strategies.
The company says its platform can generate more than 1,000 VOD rails and refresh them on recurring schedules.
That could matter for ad-supported services in particular.
Better merchandising can increase the number of titles that receive exposure, while fresher programming surfaces can create more opportunities to keep viewers engaged with the service—and, potentially, expose them to additional advertising inventory.
This is where media operations begins to intersect directly with monetization.
Content distribution is becoming an AI workflow
Ingenee is also extending automation beyond programming.
Its distribution capabilities are designed to identify potential buyers for content, match libraries against streaming platforms and FAST channels, manage availability information and support buyer-specific pitches.
The company describes this as a distribution intelligence layer connecting content libraries, rights and buyer information.
For studios and distributors, that represents a different application of agentic AI.
Instead of using AI only to summarize content or generate metadata, the technology can potentially automate parts of the commercial workflow surrounding that content.
The long-term opportunity is significant if AI can reduce the administrative burden involved in finding buyers, preparing content packages and managing follow-ups.
Localization adds another automation layer
The platform also includes localization capabilities covering subtitles, metadata translation and AI dubbing.
That becomes increasingly relevant as streaming companies distribute the same content across more territories.
Localization traditionally requires coordination among multiple systems and teams. Automating portions of that workflow could allow operators to prepare catalogs for new markets more quickly.
The challenge, however, is quality control.
Media companies still need human oversight for translations, dubbing, rights restrictions, cultural context and final programming decisions. Ingenee’s own positioning acknowledges this by emphasizing automation alongside existing systems and human control rather than presenting AI as a complete replacement for media operators.
Agentic AI moves closer to media monetization
The more interesting aspect of Ingenee’s strategy is where it places AI in the media stack.
Generative AI has already become common for tasks such as content summarization, metadata generation and creative production. Ingenee is targeting a different layer: the operational decisions that determine where content appears, when it appears and how it moves through a distribution ecosystem.
That makes the platform relevant to the economics of CTV and FAST.
Nielsen reported earlier this year that streaming represented 66.7% of ad-supported TV viewing time among U.S. adults aged 18–49, while FAST represented 19% of streaming’s ad-supported viewing within that demographic.
As more viewing shifts into fragmented streaming environments, the ability to operate content efficiently across multiple channels becomes increasingly important for media owners and advertisers alike.
The competitive question is scalability
Ingenee’s biggest test will be whether its automation can operate reliably across the complexity of real-world media businesses.
Rights windows, regional availability, programming rules, ad breaks, metadata standards, distribution requirements and rapidly changing content libraries create a much more complicated environment than a typical enterprise workflow.
Its strategy of sitting above existing infrastructure could help reduce adoption friction.
But automation only creates value if media teams trust the decisions being made. For broadcasters and streaming operators, human approval, auditability and predictable integrations will remain critical.
If Ingenee can demonstrate that agentic AI can reliably handle the repetitive work behind FAST scheduling, VOD merchandising and content distribution, it could help shift media operations from a labor-intensive back-office function toward a more automated layer of the CTV ecosystem.
That is ultimately the larger opportunity.
The next phase of streaming competition may not be determined only by who owns the largest content library. It may also depend on who can operate, merchandise and monetize that library most efficiently.
